Supplying food to the world's growing population was a challenge for all countries before today and is still a challenge. Therefore, all kinds of advanced technologies have been used to increase production. At the same time, research and development of technologies is also underway. Despite this, various types of pests such as insects, fungi, bacteria, mice and parasites are active in the crop to cause damage to the crop.
IPM approach, one of the improved farming practices which intends to improve agricultural produce by solving pest problems and minimizing risk to people and environment. CN has been promoting this technique through FFS. IPM packages have improved crop yields and nutritional security, promoted organic practices and biological control, upgraded marketing with the establishment of a collection center and provided trainings to agriculture students for IPM extension in several districts of Nepal.
